As the only Spanish woman ever invited to show on the prestigious Parisian schedule — following in the footsteps of Balenciaga and Rabanne — Martín’s presentation becomes both a personal triumph and a national milestone, recently honored with the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts.

Entitled Fervor, the collection draws deeply from the religious traditions of Andalusia, most notably Semana Santa (Holy Week), where devotion, symbolism, and cultural identity converge in a singular expression of faith. Martín’s signature black-and-white palette serves as the canvas for this evocative collection, where black ruán — the deep matte fabric worn by nazarenos (penitents) — takes center stage. The silhouettes echo the dramatic robes and hoods of processional attire, while sacred imagery is reinterpreted in the couture space through ornamental details inspired by Virgins, Christs, and ecclesiastical adornments.

A symbolic shower of petals and the flicker of candlelit processions are woven into the collection’s visual narrative, with statement jewelry and unconventional materials amplifying the sense of spiritual grandeur. Each look is a moving tableau — sacred, sculptural, and unapologetically bold.
