Dubai, June 3–4, 2025 – A monumental step toward COP30 began at the Canadian University Dubai (CUD), as the Climate Institute and GP I Global Partners Investments launched the high-profile Climate Summit 2025. Against the backdrop of downtown Dubai, a giant LED canvas heralded a powerful call to action — ushering in two days of climate dialogue, carbon economics, ocean science, emerging tech, and creative expression for sustainability.
A Historic Collaboration & Opening Ceremonies

The summit’s opening marked a significant milestone, as G.P.I. signed an MoU with CUD and the Climate Institute, alongside B International Partners, solidifying institutional support for the event. Chaired by Gustavo Montero — the mind behind the Rio “Earth Summit” and chair of CUD Incubator and Carter Capital — the introductions reminded audiences of the UN’s Brundtland Commission and the birth of the Sustainable Development Goals via Our Common Future.
Noble Narratives & Emotive Keynotes

Dr. Adam Fenech, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, delivered the keynote (provocatively titled “We are screwed…”) while offering pragmatic solutions and future hope. He was followed by globally renowned DJ-producer Nikka Lorak, whose address, “The Soundtrack of Society,” spotlighted the profound power of music to shape culture and collective mentality.
In-Depth Sessions: Climate, Tech & Art

A Cross-Sector Blueprint for Climate Resilience
As the summit concluded, it became clear that the future of climate action rests on intersection — where finance meets culture, innovation meets enforcement, and ecosystems meet human aspiration. The Climate Summit 2025 not only forged galvanized partnerships and pioneering solutions but lit the way forward to COP30, where global unity is essential to our planet’s survival.
By drawing together cutting-edge climate science, carbon marketplaces, ocean preservation, emerging technologies, and cultural instruments, the summit positioned itself as a template for proactive climate stewardship in the years ahead.
