The 6th edition of the Luxury Innovation Summit, held on October 1-2, 2024, attracted over 300 attendees. The summit highlighted key trends, including the rise of AI, NFTs, and Web3 technologies, alongside sustainability efforts in luxury production and retail.

Day 1: Sustainability and Technology in Luxury
The first day of the event offered a deep dive into how sustainability is shaping the future of luxury. A presentation by Iris Maria Alexis Van der Veken, Executive Director of the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030, set the stage for discussions on ethical practices. Additionally, a panel led by Carla Bünger of Phoenix Technologies Group explored how generative AI is transforming the luxury landscape, with experts from Red Hat, Solaya, and Karl Lagerfeld contributing valuable insights.
Another major focus was on the integration of Web3 into luxury. eBay’s session on how Web3 can enhance the luxury experience featured Lennart Schlinkmann and Keith Metcalfe, who discussed the potential of NFTs and blockchain to offer exclusive ownership and transparency across supply chains.
Day 2: Innovations in Fashion and Ethical Luxury
The second day of the summit brought discussions on the growing importance of ethical sourcing in luxury, with Bhavya Vaghasia and Wesley Tucker presenting how provenance and traceability for natural diamonds can create consumer trust. Other sessions focused on India’s emergence as a major player in the luxury market, with Tirath Kamdar and Deependra Pandey providing insights into India’s luxury potential.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the six winners of the Luxury Innovation Awards. The judging panel, led by Ingie Chalhoub of Etoile Group, selected the winners from entries across 29 countries. The awards were categorized into six sectors:
